Hammond Group, Inc. is a specialty chemical company with manufacturing operations in Hammond, IN and Pottstown, PA., and serves EMEA from Gateshead, England, and Asia from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Hammond Group, Inc. is focused on serving the world's battery industry and enabling lead-acid chemistry for advanced energy storage. As a global manufacturer of technically-supported battery oxides, red leads, expanders, and other specialty chemicals, we bring over 90 years of experience in service to automotive, industrial, and renewable energy storage battery manufacturers.
Hammond’s mission is to enable lead-acid battery technology to be the competitive choice among “advanced batteries” in vehicle fleet electrification, power grid stabilization, and green energy storage.

Over the course of our 90+ year history, Hammond Group has given generations of employees the opportunity to delight our customers and give back to the community. To further this commitment to our employees, customers, and community, we created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) providing Hammond Group employees a formal stake in the success of the organization. This stock is not publicly traded nor can it be purchased by outside entities. We believe that when Hammond employees own the company, they will be excellent stewards of its prosperity and will work hard to better the enterprise.
